Welcome to Spring - it's time to mellow in yellow!

It's officially Springtime!

It's time to fill my house with spring flowers and brighten up my wardrobe!

There is a lot of yellow around at the moment. I'm so happy about this as it is one of my favourite colours to wear. I have worn a fair amount of yellow this week, and it really does cheer me up and get me through the most stressful days at the office!

Dress - Glamorous
Jumper - Sugarhill boutique

Another great thing about Spring is that my colourful shoes can come out of their boxes. One of my absolute favourite pair of shoes are my canary yellow Christian Louboutins. I bought them in Paris last year and you would be surprised how many colours you can pair yellow with.

Happy Springtime!

Beach Sandies by OPI

The theme of the Spring / Summer 2014 OPI collection is Brazil. The collection features 12 full size polishes and 4 liquid sand shades (which only come in the mini version, sold as a gift set), this was my first purchase from this collection.

Here is my review of the Beach Sandies mini collection.

The colour that I couldn't wait to try out is "I'm Brazil nuts over you", it is described by OPI as a matte pink but I think it is more of a coral, even a red.

It's very pretty but it does not have the same sparkle that the more recent liquid sand shades have.

I have yet to try out the other colours in the set, other than a very quick swatch, below.

"What's a little rain forest" is a lovely bright blue, but I prefer two of the other blue liquid sand polishes that I own, "Tiffany Case" and "kiss me at midnight" on the basis that they have more sparkle.

"You're so Flippy Floppy" is the first yellow polish I have ever owned. This is really bright, it reminds me of melted butter (when the butter turns to a liquid). I won't be wearing this until I have a sun tan and I am feeling brave (it is rare for me to say that about a polish). There is something about yellow nail polish that makes me feel uncomfortable.

"Samba-dy loves purple" is a bright vivid pink based purple, I'm looking forward to wearing this one. There is not much to say about it but nothing not to like about it.

This is a nice little set for your collection. Due to the bright colours and the dinky little bottles, it is perfect for travelling with (if you like to change your nail colour while on holiday).

Ski Bunny Chic

Thanks to everyone who has sent me messages asking if I have stopped blogging.

In the dark winter months I have found it more difficult to take pictures in natural light. But now the nights are getting lighter, I expect I might blog more frequently.

I have just returned from an amazing girly skiing holiday in La Clusaz in the French alps.

A skiing holiday is the easiest type of holiday to pack for, it's simple.....
Your ski gear
Warm layers
Lots of leggings
Jeans
One pair of boots (with a good tread so you can walk around resort in the snow)
No handbag! You won't need it, not even for après ski... Just pop your lipgloss and money in your ski jacket pocket and your good to go!

But that doesn't mean that you can't have fun with your outfits.
February is a good time to pick up cute knitwear at reduced prices.
I got 2 new jumpers from ASOS for my ski trip.

My Bunny jumper was great for lunch in resort upon arrival, followed by afternoon tea back at the chalet! Buy it here.

Leanne wears: Hat - Spoilt Brat; Jumper - ASOS (link above); Ski Jacket - Roxy
Elaine wears: Hat - H&M; Shirt - Topshop; Ski Jacket - O'Neill

I also got this warm and cosy snowflake jumper which was great for chilling out in the chalet.

I managed to find some time to do a little bit of shopping, I visited the Roxy shop to make just one purchase, as it is important to stay safe on the slopes.

I hope you enjoyed the ski edition of my blog.

Christian Louboutin "Fillette" shoe boots

Introducing my new shoes "Fillette" patent and fishnet mesh glitter Heel shoe boot by Christian Louboutin.

These shoe boots are amazing! I can dress them up with dress or a pencil skirt, or dress them down with skinny jeans.

They have a 10cm heel, but are easy to walk in as they are a shoe boot.

These shoes look amazing on:
